CCAC offers private instruction, group learning, performance programs, visual arts, creative writing, intercultural music, and seasonal arts experiences for children, youth, and community members.

Private Music Session
Weekdays & Saturdays
Individual instruction is available in piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums, and other selected instruments.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s age, experience, musical interests, and learning goals.
Private students are encouraged to participate in CCAC’s bands, ensembles, musical theatre
productions, and concerts. These opportunities give students valuable group, stage, and live performance experience.

After-School Art Program
Tuesdays | 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Led by local artist Dylon, this welcoming visual arts program introduces students to drawing, painting,
mixed media and creative projects. Children strengthen their artistic skills, explore new techniques and
develop their own individual creative style.
String Ensemble
Fridays | 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Led by Gabe Girard, string ensemble brings beginner and experienced string players together in a welcoming and collaborative setting. Participants develop listening, timing, musical expression, and ensemble skills through enjoyable pieces that connect players of different ages and levels. Students are invited to bring their favourite pieces and help shape the ensemble’s repertoire while
preparing for shared performances.
Early Childhood Music
Saturdays | Ages 3-6
Children discover music through singing, movement, rhythm games, storytelling, and hands-on exploration of instruments. The program develops listening, coordination, creativity and confidence while establishing a strong foundation for future music lessons.
Fee: $80 for 8 sessions
Sunday Song Circle
Sundays | 1:00pm - 3:00pm
A relaxed community music gathering led by community musicians.
Adults and seniors are warmly invited to sing, play, and share music together.
Ukulele, guitar, voice, and piano players are welcome to participate. No formal performance experience is required. Only an interest in music and community connection.
Fee: $80 for 8 sessions
World Music: Bağlama (Saz), Cura & Bouzouki
Sundays | 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Led by Burak Ekmekçi, this program introduces participants to bağlama (saz), cura and bouzouki through melodies, rhythms and repertoire drawn from Anatolian and world music traditions.
Students develop instrumental technique, musical interpretation and ensemble-playing skills in an inclusive group setting. New and developing players are welcome.
PA Day Arts Programs
Selected PA Days
Creative arts programming is offered on selected school PA Days.
Children participate in music, visual arts, storytelling, creative writing, movement, and collaborative projects in a welcoming community environment.
March Break Arts Program
March Break
A multidisciplinary March Break experience combining music, theatre, visual arts, storytelling, and creative exploration. Children work independently and collaboratively while building confidence,
friendships and new artistic skills.
Weekly Summer Arts Camps
Summer Break | Weekly Camps
CCAC’s weekly summer camps provide children with engaging experiences in music, art, theatre,
movement, and creative storytelling. Each week includes hands-on projects, group activities, and opportunities for children to share and
celebrate their work.

Children's Voice, Performance, & Musical Theatre
Voice & Performance | Mondays 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Children develop their voices through singing, breathing exercises, rhythm, movement, and performance activities.
The repertoire includes songs in English, Spanish and French, introducing young singers to different languages and musical cultures while building confidence, pronunciation, and stage presence.
Musical Theatre | Mondays 6:30pm - 7:30pm
A lively combination of acting, singing, movement and imaginative play. Children develop communication
skills, confidence, and stage presence while learning songs, scenes, and performance techniques.
Returning students reinforce previously learned material while preparing new creative projects and performances.
Children's Band
Tuesdays | 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Led by Glen Loucks, children’s band gives young musicians the excitement of rehearsing, creating, and performing together. Through enjoyable and accessible repertoire, students strengthen rhythm, listening, teamwork, and stage confidence while learning what it means to be part of a real band.
Children taking private music lessons are encouraged to participate, put their individual skills into practice, and gain meaningful group and live-performance experience.
Mommy & Me Music
Saturdays |
Ages 6-24 months: 10:00am - 10:45am
Ages 2+ : 11:00am - 11:45am
A joyful introduction to music for young children and their caregivers. Sessions include singing,
movement, rhythm, musical games, and age-appropriate instruments. The program supports early language, coordination, listening, and social development while giving families a warm and playful musical experience together.
Fee: $80 for 8 sessions
In The Footsteps of Indigenous Art
Creative Writing, Stories, & Art
Saturdays | 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Children are introduced to selected Indigenous art traditions and perspectives through age-appropriate
stories, creative writing, and visual arts.
Inspired by nature, animals, symbols, community, and respect for the land, participants create their own stories and artworks while developing literacy, imagination, and artistic confidence. The program
encourages thoughtful learning through creativity and cultural appreciation.
Emerging Artists Mentorship Program
Sundays | 1:00pm - 3:00pm
A creative development program for emerging artists. Participants receive mentorship, take part in guided studio sessions, and develop original work within a supportive artistic community.
The program may include artist conversations, exhibition visits, and professional development opportunities, culminating in a public presentation or exhibition of participants’ work.
Fee: $20/per session, for 8 weeks
Monthly Indigenous Women's Drum Circle
Selected Fridays | 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Led by Heather, this monthly gathering brings women together through Indigenous drumming, song,
rhythm, and shared cultural experience. The circle offers a respectful and welcoming space for connection, listening, learning, and collective musical expression.
No previous drumming experience is necessary. The Indigenous Women’s Drum Circle is a scheduled special event held outside regular weekday operating hours.
